Buckinghamshire Council

Bucks Activity Project is commissioned by Buckinghamshire Council as part of the Buckinghamshire SEND Local Offer.

Buckinghamshire Council is working in partnership with Action for Children to commission and fund a range of short break services for Children and Young People with Disabilities.

Buckinghamshire Council has a Short Breaks Services Statement, which sets out the access and eligibility for short breaks in Buckinghamshire.

The Buckinghamshire SEND Local Offer

The Buckinghamshire Local Offer for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) sets out the support available locally for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with SEND.

Disabled Children Register

Buckinghamshire Additional Needs Database (BAND) is the the voluntary register of disabled children and young people (aged 0 to 19). 

The purpose of BAND is to build a picture of need across the county to help the Council plan and improve local support and services for children and young people with SEND and their families.  

Buckinghamshire Additional Needs Database

By joining the register parents, carers and young people are eligible to request a Max Card, a leading discount card, which can be used at venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission.

The child or young person does not need to have a formal diagnosis to join the database.
