In no event will Action for Children be liable for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever arising from the use or in connection with such use or loss of use of the site, whether in contract or in negligence.

Action for Children does not warrant that the functions contained in the material contained in this site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy and reliability of the materials.

SMS activity

This SMS service is being provided for Action for Children by a third party provider.

We will not be liable for any delays or failures in your receipt of any SMS messages, as delivery is subject to transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile phone device.

Donation Tariffs

Premium rate texts

Action for Children will receive the following approximate amounts from all major network for SMS donations:
£0.50 text = £0.26 donation
£1 text = £0.60 donation
£3 text = £1.90 donation
£5 text = £3.20 donation

Standard rate texts

Action for Children will not receive any payment from networks for standard rate texts. Action for Children won't appear as the message sender on the phone bill. The number you texted (82727 or 83010) will appear instead.

Emergency Christmas appeal text donations

Text costs £5 plus standard network charge. Action for Children receives 100% of your donation. Please obtain the bill payer's permission. Contact customer care on 0844 8479 800 of you have any queries.

Privacy

Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile number, your carrier's name, and the date, time and content of your messages and other information that you may provide. By using this service you consent to receiving, from time to time, further communication from us. You can unsubscribe at any time from all services by replying FINISH to the original number you texted (either 82727 or 83010).

Terms of use and copyright

5. Commercial use or publication of any content displayed on this site is prohibited without permission from Action for Children. Nothing published on this site shall be construed as conferring any licence by Action for Children to use any content displayed.

6. Documents may be copied for personal use only on the condition that copyright and source indications are also copied, no changes are made and the document is copied entirely. However, some documents and photos have been published on this site with the permission of copyright owners (who are not Action for Children). All rights are reserved on these documents and permission to copy them must be requested from the copyright owners (the sources are indicated within these documents/photographs).
