The Discovery Club is held within the Columbus School and College campus, providing high quality social and play opportunities for children and young people aged 3-19 years with profound and multiple learning difficulties, Autism, complex health needs and life-limiting conditions.

After School Club, Youth Club, Holiday and Saturday Clubs provide a vital lifeline for families and carers and a place where children can develop, learn and have fun in a safe and friendly environment that caters for their special needs.

Mushroom Theatre Company is a fully inclusive performing arts school that offers an open door policy to students with additional needs. We aim to promote the social and therapeutic benefits of the performing arts in a fully inclusive, safe and happy environment. We pride our self on our friendly atmosphere and look forward to welcoming you on board.

Trailnet’s offers inclusive cycling sessions for children and adults. We have a range of adapted trikes for all ages and sizes, and our enthusiastic, trained instructors have a wealth of experience in helping people access cycling, either independently or as part of one of our regular group rides at Thorndon Country Park.

PARC (Essex) is based in the beautiful Great Notley Country Park and offers a range of services for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities including under 5's, after school and weekend clubs, holiday clubs, youth clubs and family support.

The Epping Forest Inclusion Project offers a wide range of experiences in their popular Holiday Programme, as well as after school and weekend activities during term time.

The project is based in and around the ancient woodland of Epping Forest  

Accuro provide clubs and activities in a variety of locations, including the Saturday play club, youth clubs and a range of holiday projects.

Aspire Share Create at the Mercury is a group for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.

Aspire offer dance, drama and digital arts workshops for young people with special educational needs and disabilities during the holidays, as well as drama groups within local schools.

An inclusive disco for young people and their families is held once a month.

There are a wide range of activities for children with additional needs and disabilities at SNAP including drama, music, yoga, sensory play and more. SNAP have groups catering for every age group from the under 5's to youth clubs and social clubs for young adults.

Activities such as archery, caving, kayaking, climbing, pony and cart rides are available as part of the programme of fun days at Lambourne End for children and young people throughout the year.

The Food for Thought horticultural education programme incorporates sowing, nurturing and harvesting crops as well as encouraging confidence and self-esteem in young people.

BOSP aim to develop young people's independence, self-esteem and social skills in a supportive environment, offering short break care clubs at evenings, weekends and school holidays

Saturday club, Holiday club and Youth Club at Sam's Place, provides opportunities for social interaction and development for children and young people aged between 8- 19 years who live in Harlow and the West Essex area

InterAct clubs across Essex give opportunities to children aged 10 - 18 to take part in activities in their local communities such as swimming, bowling, cooking, parks, etc. A full programme of activities is produced every quarter and can be downloaded from the website www.interact.org.uk

Essex-wide friendship groups and personalised activity packages for children and young people to increase independence and develop social skills: Caterpillars Club for 3-7 year olds, Butterflies Club for 8-14 year olds, Butterflies Youth for 12-18 year olds

TASK (Talk About Special Kids) at the Ark Centre provides days of play and learning for all children with additional needs in school holidays and on Saturdays as well as an inclusive after school club for 8-11 year olds week term time

Afterschool and Holiday dance and movement classes for children aged 2-14 and their siblings. Wheelchair dance classes also available. Responsive teaching style, relaxed environments enable the children to fully enjoy and explore 16 dance themes and build their confidence in our fun and funky classes. Inclusive communication devises & PECS symbols are available and basic Makaton used. Classes are Sensory aware regarding lighting and overstimulation, behavioural challenges met with understanding and support.

A swimming club which offers a wide range of water based activities for people with disabilities, meeting regularly at Colchester Leisure World, Cowdray Avenue, Colchester, Essex.

We provide the opportunity to swim for leisure, fitness and competitively. We offer ’Learn to Swim’ and improvers programmes, competitive training and the opportunity to compete at local, regional, national and international events.

Fun sessions every Saturday afternoon from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Chelmsford Sport & Athletics Centre, Salerno Way, Chelmsford CM1 2EH

Play activities for children with a disability or special needs and siblings, accompanied by their parents/carers, Arts and Crafts and a qualified trampoline coach available each week and Gymnastic coach/circuit fortnightly.

It is set in a nice airy, secure and friendly environment for the children and somewhere parents, friends, family and carers can come and either relax, talk to other parents or rush about with the children.

Multi-sports sessions in mainstream facilities during the school holidays for young people who face barriers to participation. All sessions are fun, active and inclusive and are delivered by a health professional and head coach.

The J’s Hospice is a leading expert and specialist provider of young adult palliative care. We provide a supportive transition service for young people living in Essex aged 16-25. Inspire Club runs monthly on a Saturday and provides a peer support group and fun activities.

Little Havens is a Hospice for children up to age 19 years, offering overnight respite, emergency stays, symptom management and care at the end of a child’s life. There are also ‘Day Stay’ sessions and Shortbreaks groups and activities.

Oakview School in Loughton run a holiday playscheme for children who attend the school.

Glenwood School run after school clubs and holiday clubs for the young people who attend their school.

Summer holiday club for students of the Edith Borthwick School in Braintree

An inclusive after school and holiday club for children from mainstream and special schools. The club meets in Furze Hill Village Hall in Mistley, offering a wide range of activities, both indoor and outdoor, which meet the needs, likes and wishes of the children.
