Parenting advice

Action for Children are commissioned by Worcestershire County Council to deliver Support for parents in South Worcestershire. The support is predominantly delivered as support groups and programmes to help parents – these are often called parenting programmes. These services offer welcoming and supportive groups for parents (that are fun too!) to help with understanding more about their child or teenager.

Many parents have said they feel calmer, more confident and have a better relationship with their child or teenager after attending a group. You can find information on our groups for parents here.

Parenting support is also delivered by health visitors, midwives, school nurses, schools, early years settings and voluntary groups.
There are also a large number of parent support groups and activities running across the county. These are delivered through children’s centres and other community buildings. More information can be found here.
