Targetted Family Support

Targetted Family Support

Targeted Family Support is delivered by Worcestershire County Council to those families who need it most. They may have difficulties across more than one area of their lives and they are likely to require some extra support from more than one agency. The targetted family support service can be access through the Family Front Door on 01905 822666.

Targeted Family Support means support delivered to children, young people and families in Worcestershire that have been identified as complex or escalating. Their needs are deemed to require a multi-agency co-ordinated response to ensure that positive outcomes are achieved and maintained for all family members.

Families are allocated a named worker who will work with them to provide the help they ask for with the aim of providing them with the skills and resilience to achieve and maintain positive outcomes.

Targeted family support in Worcestershire works on the following principles:

 1. A dedicated worker; dedicated to a family

2. Provide practical support

3. An open, honest and tenacious approach

4. Consideration of the family as a whole

5. Agreeing a common purpose and agreed actions between the family and professionals.
