Stoke-on-Trent Aiming High

Volunteer with us

Volunteer with us

You could volunteer with Action for Children and help deliver the Aiming High programme enabling disabled children to participate in Short Break activities and to gain independence. You would also provide a well deserved break for their families.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:

Working in the office

  • Gain, or use your existing experience supporting our admin team by committing a few hours per week to help with data inputting completing mail shots and answering the telephone
  • Support our services by giving a few hours over a couple of days when we have a big mail shot to do like sending out activity brochures (every three months)

Delivering brochures

  • Delivering our brochure to other agencies by committing a few hours once every three months.

Working with children

  • Volunteer your services and be an extra pair of hands at our Short Break activities supporting children and young people

Next steps

Please note that for all volunteering roles, except delivering activity brochures, we need you to complete an application form. After an initial telephone discussion we would send this out to you and go through the application process in further detail.
