Summer Travel Training Project with South Western Railway

Summer Travel Training Project with South Western Railway

Let the adventures begin..

So sometime before summer we where invited to do a travel training project with South Western Railway. This would entail them leading a session with us based at London Waterloo, each one of these sessions could be up to an hour. They would cover different things each time. We got to pick where we want to travel to.

 Session 1- Hampton Court

We met Amy and Mark from South Western Railway at Waterloo station

We learned how to buy tickets using the machines, how to look for your platform.

Session 2- Windsor Castle

We met Shannon and Michael from South Western Railway.

We learned how to buy tickets from the ticket office with some great help from Demola who was working the desk.

Also where we can go for help - the information desk, staff walking around and also from the police who are in the station

And using our tickets to get through the gates.

Session 3 - Chessington World of Adventures

We met Shannon and others from South Western Railway.

We went over what we have learned and then did a quiz answering questions and walking around the station- we got all the right answers so got some sweets to share!

Thank you to South Western Railway we had a great time and learned so much.  We will be carrying on this project and will be using your trains for our next adventures..
