The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022

The Big Lunch

We had the privilege of being invited to The Queen's Platinum Jubilee - The Big Lunch 

We arrived at The Oval early in the morning, were we joined everyone entering, we were welcomed into a waiting area, where we could have lovely cups of tea or coffee, offered tasty canapes. 

We were then invited to be seated on The Oval, drinks, sandwiches and cute cakes waiting for us. 

Speeches were done, the band played, we witness the Sikh guard playing the Bagpipes.

HRH King Charles (HRH Prince Charles on the day) and Camilla, Queen Consort (Duchess of Cornwall on the day) walked around all the tables and spoke to guests.

Attending for Action for Children was Simone McArthur, Service Coordinator, Team leaders Claire Kemp and Juliana Faoro and one of our Senior Fundraisers Rowan Glover- James were lucky enough for HRH King Charles to come and sit with us and ask if we were enjoying the day, ask us about our service and Action for Children, it was a lovely conversation.

They thanked the guests, we were then invited inside for a proper lunch, we had a pianist playing while we ate, then a choir performed.

It was a lovely day in celebration of our Queen, may she RIP.
